Fashion week is the preeminent fashion event in cities throughout the world. It’s the opportunity to get a first-hand look at the most important trends being developed by top designers. Perfectly poised models stream down the runway draped in layers of perfectly tailored material. Photographers capture the rush of the experience with a flash of light. The stoic expression on the model’s face, the light reflecting off a tightly woven wool jacket, the flutter of a pant leg waving against the ankle as the foot plants itself on the black runway are frozen by light filtered through the lens of the camera. September marks the seventh year of Bellevue Square’s Fashion Week.  Events span the entire week. There are stylish parties, opportunities to question the designers and see their work up close, happy hours, and endless opportunities to explore the fashion lifestyle.

For the first time, Bellevue Fashion Week will open with an Independent Runway Show featuring local designers. Built For Man was selected among the burgeoning men’s fashion scene of the Puget Sound region to join in the Independent Runway Show. The whole team at Built For Man has been working tirelessly to create the ideal concept to showcase the future of Built For Man. Corban Harper, a young designer, has teamed with Built For Man to style an inspired new piece that will be seen for the first time at the runway show. We mentioned our concept presentation just a little while ago. The Built For Man team will be covering the week via twitter, Facebook, and our blog, so be sure to experience Fashion Week with us online, or join us in person. We will be giving you a first-hand look at our continued preparations for the runway event on September 26 at 6:30.
